well im gonna breed some bettas. im going to have 1 male and 2 females in a 10 gallon tank. when needed i will get a spawining tank, and jars. how can you tell if a female betta is ready to have fishies????
:) and yes i know that the male squeezes the eggs out of her.

The female gets big in her stomach after 2 weeks of conditioning with live or frozen foods. You also see a white dot under her belly, I think the white dot is when they are ready :good:

the white dot is always there, my four have it anyway and there not conditioned, are you putting them all together or dividing the tank?

Hate to say this but I think you need to read up a little bit more on breeding betta's before you think of putting two females in the same tank as a male.

You also don't seem to know when a female will be in the mood for breeding.

Please if you care for your fish read the breeding articles on this website -

I agree that you need to do a LOT more research before you breed your bettas. Do NOT put more than one male and one female together while breeding. There are lots of websites with helpful breeding info. Please read them all.
Here's some of the best:

(yeah, I just had to put my website first!!)
After you've done all your research you will want to collect all your supplies. You will need everything to get you through conditioning, spawning, and rearing the fry. Then, after you've done your research and collected your supplies, then you can start conditioning your pair. Please do not just jump into breeding your bettas because it sounds like a fun thing to do. You will most likely end up with injured or dead fish.
