Breeding Veiltails

Does anyone breed veiltails here or just fancier ones?

I don't think so. It looks like most people here breed plakats.

Most people with VT spawns are by-producs of the 'oh yes, or course you can kep males and females together' rubbish some shops spout. But I might do a VT spawn- I've got a juvie VT with good colouring and a good tail spread, who is the best bubblenester and all that jazz, and hopefully the genes of the female will mean they aren't too 'normal'.

People tend not to breed vt's as most are shop bought so you have no way of knowing their genetic history, plus most are past their prime for breeding in the lfs. Then you have the trouble of rehoming the fry as it can be hard as most lfs already have a supplier, or joe public go for the fancier types. I think it would be hard to make any money from breeding vt aswell as they are only a couple of quid on the lfs, and after all the time and money spent you won't get much. Saying that i love my little old vt razzle
