Hi all ive seen some slate breeding tunnels on sale and i was wondering if they were ok to be made from normal roof slates or if they were some special type??? any help would be great many thanks...

As far as I know, slate is slate. All the same stuff, so it'll be fine. Just give it a good clean if it's actually been on someone's roof for years.
