Amongst other fish in a community tank (started about 5 months ago) I have a number of harlequin Rasboras (Although i now suspect that some of these are actually glowlight rasboras). They have started to breed and I now have about 6 fry which are growing quite quickly. Assuming these reach maturity I will be pretty much at the limit for my size of tank. The Rasboras appear to be continuing to breed. The question I have is will they stop breeding once the tank becomes congested or do i have to take action to limit their numbers

Not sure how to stop them breeding... it means they are happy in the tank so you must be doing something right :good:. Probably the best thing to do would be to sell any extra babies, either to an LFS or through the forum.

I've seen my Harle's laying eggs a couple of times but they have never lasted more than 3 or 4 hours.

don't bother trying to stop them breeding. Just do as Shrimper suggested and sell the surplus to the LFS or give them to people at your local fish club.
