Day X

The Balzer:
The male impressed with intense color, abgespreizten fins, gills and open body trembling at the appearance of the female.

The Preparing:

The Spawning:
Their genitals were clearly visible. The female had a strong spawning tube. The male has a much shorter, thinner and pointed.
The female then decided to place the spawning by it (in my case) to a stone cleaning started what then with the male involved. Both impressed with intense staining, spreads fins, gills open and body tremors.
The Spawning took place with an egg on the rock track and the male fertilized a few seconds later. After delivery of about 100 eggs Spawning was completed.

After oviposition, the males from the spawning place displaced.

The female over the entire surveillance and care. You defenses everything it came too close, including males and carefully removed the dirt and plant remains from the nests. That meant 24 hours of stress, little or garnicht eaten.

The Bolivian SBB have in me a spawning Interwall of approximately 2-3 weeks.

Oh my! GREAT pictures. I like this topic. It is a shame only 3 of the fry survived. Maybe they will breed again, and you will have 3 more that time lol. What do you plan on doing with the 3 rams?
