Breeding Mts

Hey, im looking to breed some MTS for my DP's, i have my main tank (where the MTS are all currently) and my smaller tank (with my Puffers) all set, cycled and running fine etc, but i just wondered if there was a way to breed them, as the ones that are in the main tank but by the time i catch or find the buggers there big or at least too big for my new little DPs

can i breed these somehow so i can get the young while there small enough to feed my puffers ?

Hi, MTS dont need any special requirements to breed. I Know you want the small ones for feeding so what i would do is, around 6pm get some veg and pin it down in the tank(turn the lights off) wait a couple of hours... say til 9pm.. then turn the lights on and there should be snails everywhere

hmm well im sat here now at 10pm with lights on and ii can see about 20 big/medium mts

how fast do these breed, how many are likely in my tank ??

im asuming they live in the substrate

i kinda like a having a load in my big tank, just need to capture some babies!

could u breed them in water that isnt heated or filtered ? like an icecream tub with a lid on ofc ?

try putting a few big ones in a breeding trap in your tank feed them some fish food you should have some small ones in no time at all
