breeding live bearers???

ok so im new to breeding live bearers but not to fish so i am wondering wut kinda fo fish to get and how to tel if theyre male/ female and how to get them to breed and wut not.? another thing is wut size tank should i have for breeding live bearers?
one last thing is that when u buy the fish from the store they are not pregnant right?

most of the time you can get them already preggers right from the shop, males and females are easy to tell..

i think you should keep 2 or 3 females to each male, to give the females a bit of a rest they are very busy with the fizzy you will probably have fry within a month of you buying them...

i get most babies from mollies, then platies, and then guppies having the smallest amount of young, but i suppose people get different results, if you want small pretty fish, you want guppies, if you want larger fish go for mollies, and platies are in the mid ground there are some pictures of all 3 here for you to see what you like the look of...

You should get swordies. The males have a sword tail and the females dont, You can also cross them wit mollies, and stuff.

UM, think your reading it wrong....Swordtails CAN'T cross with Mollies, but they CAN with Platies
