Does anybody here know how to breed Leleupi? I have a breeding trio, but their fry never make it past a week, they just disappear. they have bred 3 times, currently they are on their 4th try. Is there anything i can do to save some fry?

Breed them as a pair with no other fish, the other fish on the tank are eating the fry just after they become free swimming.

I have tried the pair only in a 29 gallon tank, but the male was attacking the female so I placed them back in the community tank. The male leleupi is the biggest fish in the tank, so i m guessing he ate the fry, because no other fish venture into the leleupi section of the tank. i just check this morning and there is no trace of the eggs or the fry. Next time should i just take the eggs out? i have had no luck with raising the fry, they always die when seperated from the parents.

Artificial incubation of the eggs isn't to difficult, you'll need a small tank, an air pump with airstone, a mature sponge filter, a heater, and some methylene blue. Put the eggs in the hatching tank with everything mentioned. Place the airstone to create a gentle current by the eggs. After they're free swimming, start doing small water changes and feed them crushed flakes. That's a simplified version.

That doesnt sound too complicated. Is there a specific temperature the fry have to be kept at?
