Would a 10 gal tank be a good tank to breed fish in gernral. Meaning small fish like tetras, and corys, and live bearers. If it's a live bearer and she's super pregnant i would put her in that tank unless thats a bad idea??

You could use the 10 gallon for a few livebearers, or a breeding colony of corys. Another tank will be needed for growing out the fry.

I think that is fine for the breeding, but as above you need to put the gravid female in a breeding net then leave the fry in there and take the female out and let the fry grow.

Breeder nets are often a bad idea, as female livebearers can be stressed out by them and abort.
