Hi I was wondering if it is possible to breed a batch or two of guppies in just a 10 gal tank with dividers.

I could probably get rid of most of the first batch of fry before the next comes along.

What would the dividers be for, seperating the fry from their parents? Or are you planning on breeding two different kinds at the same time? Explain to me this divider thing, please. :)

And you won't get a batch of two from Guppies, you'll get one every month as long as you have a male and female. Even if you seperate them, the female can store sperm for up to 7 more pregnancies. But as long as you have a place to give them away, or take them to, it should be okay. Try not to get very fancy Guppies to breed though, because they are already so inbred they don't need it more. The more basic Guppies would be better to breed, and hardier. :)

The dividers are for dividing the males from the females till i can find homes for them.

Ah, in terms of fry? Good idea. I like it. :)

And would you split up the parents too? Or seperate them from the fry, so they don't eat them?

Edit: Oppositearmor, you can sex them very early. At a few weeks, the females will have a tiny gravid spot, so you can seperate them out. Then you'll mostly have males left, some may turn out to be females though. So keep checking for "sexability."
