Breeding Guppies Help Needed Im Fairly New To This?

my guppy has started to have fry. i have now moved her into a trap along with 3 fry i caught
my qeustions are
1. how often do they drop fry i.e. one an hour, one every 2 hours or one after another??.

2. how do i know when she has finished dropping??
(so i can put her back in the tank)
and any other info is much appreciated thanks B)

1. It really depends on the fish. Some have them pretty fast, and some have them slower.

2. She'll be pretty thin and her gravid spot will not be very dark.

1.As annastasia said, sometimes they can have 10 in 10 minutes then the next day have another 10 more.

2.All i can say is that she'll be pretty thin

shes had about, i mean about because im struggling to count now
35 fry cant believe it from a small marble size belly between 12.00pm and 5.30 pm gmt
thats 5hours 30 mins
i think thats roughly one every 7 minutes
ive now put her back in the main tank so she can be with her buddys again i believe she could possibly drop 1 more in the main tank so ill keep my eye on it
but she is very thin now like you said

Do you have a seperate tank running, if so try to catch the female and move her into there. Even though the pregnancy may have stopped, she will be harrassed by the males immediately, which will cause unneccasary distress to her, its better to keep her isolated for 48 hours so she can relax.

yeah ive got a few other tanks running, ive got 5 females and 2 males altogether in 1 tank

the fry are now in a net in my biggest tank they look like a load of fleas swimming around

you guppies are droping fry they will drop two or three every hour. you only know when the fish stops usualy by looking where the gravid spot is there is no more fry there.yes you can put her back into the main tank once she has finished keep the fry away from audults as they usualy eat the fry. they usualy have between 5 and 15 fry but can have more. try to set up a small fry tank about 10 gallon should do depending on the amount of fry you have. i have a 10 gallon with about 25 fry at the moment but have had 35. ihave three tanks main comunity tank is about 40 gallon guppy tank is about 25 gallon once the fry is about 2 months old i put them with the adults. remember when the fry reachabout 4 months old they to are ready to breed. if you need any more info get in touch i will help you as much as i can

yeah thanks for that i pulled out about 35 less than a week ago and now ive got about another 18 from 1 or 2 other females i didnt even know was pregnant
im up to about nearly 60 fry now . dont know what im gonna do with them all yet but its definatley fun.
ive got 3 tanks running and a fourth in the shed that im debating to set up

when my fry are about 3 months old i take them to my lfs they will usualy take them from you and give you credit for them that way your fish start to pay for theselfs
