my first question is do gouramis spawn, and are they egg layers? second what do they spawn in moss?
i have 2 dwarf gouramis i think colisa lalia. plz help thk you

all fish spawn... it's a term used to say thar your fish mated, are mating or about to mate...

Can you use the term 'spawn' for fish that practise internal insemination? I thought spawning was something egglayers did. You don't say that people spawn, so why goodeids?

Anyway, dwarf gouramis do build bubblenests. The male builds the nest and encourages the female to lay the eggs which he then tends (female needs to be removed at this stage). Once the fry are free-swimming (have consumed their egg yolk) the male also loses interest, so needs to be removed. Dwarf gourami fry are supposed to be quite difficult to rear, being very small (=need small food) and sensitive to cold.
