Hi guys...I'm new to the site so be nice.

I'm looking for some advice, currently have a comunity tank... 2 angels...4 silver dolars....shoal of glass cats....a flying fox, hatchets, comon plec and a pair of pearl gouramis.

I'm looking to set up a breeding tank - wanting the patter of tiny fins, either for the dolars or the gouramis, as both seem to be trying to breed in my tank without sucess. Looking for advice as to which is easiest for a beginer and what i need to do to help nature take its course, ie breeding tank conditions, how to look after/ feed fry, how many fry produced etc.

Any help would be very much appreciated

Never heard of anyone breeding silver dollars at home, I'd have thought the pearls would be your best bet. Ask in the anabantoid forum about that one.

Oh, and I forgot- :hi:

welcome to the forum :) sorry i only breed mollies.

pearl gouramis are easy to breed, but u need to set up a breeding tank about 2'x15"x15" would be best.

How ever the hard thing is rearing the fry, you need to think what foods you will need as flake is out the question.
Mirco eel's
brine shrimp and grindel worms are needed to think about rearing these befor doing anything
