hi,
say i was thinking at maybe trying to breed some bettas. how would i go about it and what advice could you give me?
thanks

Advice... do lots and lots and lots and lots of research!! I'd like to breed my bettas and have spent about 6 months researching, I'm still trying to get everything I need.
You could search on Google on links how to breed bettas, there are a lot of helpful links, and I also believe there is a pinned topic or a topic in the betta FAQ. If there is none, try a forum search, I'm sure something will come up.

yeah.. do a lot of research. i bred bettas before like two years ago for my first time and i did do a lot of research but now i want to try again for my second time, b/c my first time all the fry died off.. :(
and so now im doing even more research on it, and i dont even have a betta yet lol...
And get everything ready before you even try to. so take a lot of time researching and make sure it is right and getting supplies together.. you could find tons of websites with breeding articles and tips..

Oh, good idea!
I think you should get more research form above link first. Then
you have some exps abt breeding bettas, you may start
hihi, good luck to you!

I have attempted to breed 5 times and had two successful spawns out of the 5 tries. It's lots of fun....but really frustrating at times, too! Like others have said, do all your research. But don't take someone's word as law just because they made a fancy website. I made a fancy website (see my sig) but that doesn't make me an expert. Get lots of different ideas and prepare yourself. The best advice I can give is to do all your research (in addition to the wonderful links already given I have breeding tips on my website, as well), decide how you want to do things, get everything you need, and just go for it! If you aren't succesful then come here and ask questions. We can help you figure out what may have gone wrong (although sometimes you do everything right and you still get NOTHING!) and then you can try again.
