Tank size: 125ltr
pH: 7
ammonia:
nitrite:
nitrate:
kH:
gH: higher than I'd like I live in Basingstoke!
tank temp:

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):
1 of my 3 Rams has turned a very dark colour over most of the body (I think it is the male of the 3) and the eyes have swollen until they are positively Bug-eyed in appearance.
yesterday it was swimming around. Now its just sitting in a corner breathing quite heavily.

Volume and Frequency of water changes:125lt tank. bi-weekly water changes, most recent this weekend. Changed approx 1/3 water

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: using Aquasafe water conditioner for all water put into the tank and also use Nutrafin cycle in between water changes.

Tank inhabitants: small school penguin and neon tetra, red tail shark (3.5") 3 adult bristlenose suckers and approx 30 3month old hatchlings - I was planning to take these to the local aquatics shop this weekend, 2 corys and 2 large clown loach. also 2 small golden apple snails

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):
No recent additions (3 months or more)

Exposure to chemicals: no other additives to the water . ...

You need to get your water stats, but if you say the eyes are bulging then it could be popeye. Bolivian Rams btw ;)

Get your stats checked out at the lfs and tell them to right the readings down for you.
Your tank is overstocked.
Red tailed sharks 40gal.
Clown loaches even small nothing less than 50gal.
Bacterial infection, darkening in colour, and if the eyes are bulging out popeye, build up of fluids so closely related to dropsy.

Hi,
just done a full test...

NO2 - 0.3gr
KH - 2dL
GH - 29dL
pH 6.5
amonia test came back at 0!

A slight nitrite reading, so do a water change before you add the med.
Good luck.
