This is Pepper my BRB. He's nearly a year and a half now and I've had him a year. He's growing really well and has the most beautiful irridescence on his body.

He's just under 4ft at the moment and should grow to between 6 - 7 ft. We have an unrelated female that is the same age and she is already over 4ft. The females generally tend to get larger than the males.

You can really feel the strength in them now when they tighten round your hand but they are pretty laid back snakes and quite easy to handle.

Thanks LionMom for the nomination and Lyotim :good:

We only intended getting one but they are just so beautiful we went back to get Pepper. Very glad we did now!!!

Just to say thanks very much to everyone who voted for Pepper....he's very happy that he won although Badger's not to pleased lol :good:

You have a very nice rainbow!!! I too have a male I named Chuck. He is about 3 years old and is 6 1/2 feet long. I named mine Chuck because the breeder I bought from had an employee named Chuck who was goth. Tats, earrings, those disks in ear lobes, black hair, black nails, the whole shebang. Very colorful character and very sweet, just like my BR boa. :) Karen Campbell

Thanks Karen :good: You'll have to put a pic of your boy Chuck up. He must be pretty much full grown now at 3 yrs old. I think they are one of the most beautiful snakes and have great laid back personalities!!!

Actually as a rule they are not laid back unless handled a lot when small. Chuck was really bitie but he got picked up 2-3 times a day and finally learned it did not good to bite. Heck, I worked for awhile at the snake farm cleaning shoe boxes and watched the workers handling the adult breeder Rainbows. MAN alive those big guys were ready to rip everyone a new one. They were handled with extreme care and the guys were laughing the whole time. I will go check out one picture I have him and get it resized down to proper size. So watch for it. LOL Karen

ok here are the picts. the first one he is pretty young and the blue you see at the back of the picture is the butt end of a rat he was constricting. It was dead when I gave it to him so should not have been that blue. Know what I mean? Anyhow, the colors on Chuck are also more intense than they really are but it is a pretty pict so did not mess with it.

The second picture was a few months ago and I had trouble getting good color because the chair is a black rocking chair, etc. Still I like the pict.
