Brass Fittings?

Hi All - would love to hear your opinions - I have some changes in tube sizes in my setup and could either purchase the costly eheim reducers etc, but I have found some brass fittings at the hardware store that would do the same job.

Anyone know if using these fittings would cause any problems with water quality or introduce some sort of negative effect on the water? I have a planted tank with compressed CO2 going in before the canister filter (if that matters)

thanks all!

Dont see why not. You could always line them with aquarium silicone i guess, if you're worried out leaching.

I've used brass screws to attach slate to driftwood. No probems, and it's been a couple of years.
