Ok so I need some advice from board members here.

I have two shark catfish.

I keep them in my tropical tank, because when I bought them, they were at a chain pet store, and didnt specify they needed brackish water as adults.

As a disclaimer, please understand that these fish have a right to live without pain or suffering just like anyone else.

Currently they are in my 55 gal tank, with 2 angel fish, 2 lamp eyes, one spotted catfish, one tinfoil barb, 2 molleys, 2 clown loaches, 2 goruimis, one gold, on drawf.

Issue,

One shark, has something that resembles a shark being brought up in fresh water tank spot on his head. I dont want these fish to suffer, but can I switch to brackish waters gradually without harm to the other inhabitants?

Im currently using aquarium salt as one table spoon per 5 gallons.

I want to up it to 2 tablespoons per 5 gallons, over time, in hopes to relaxe the cats, without harm to everyone else.

Please advise

That amount of salt would be fine for your mollies amd shark cats, but will probably not be tolerated by the rest of your fish. Simply put, freshwater fish belong in fresh water (no salt added) and brackish fish in brackish water. In my opinion, you can't have it both ways. If I was forced to keep these fish together, I would not add salt.
