Hi Everybody
OK I have a big problem, I found a box turtle (wild) that has a large tumor growing off the side of his head, so far he/she is eating ok for the most part. But he has a hard time pulling his head back inside, He needs surgery done or something. I would feel terrible to just let hm back out into the wild, because I know for a fact that he would either be eaten by a coyote or some type of animal or he is just going to die regardless if there isnt any thing done about it. Right now he is in a 55 gallon aquarium, I figured he should be fine untill i find something to do with him. I live in Steubenville, OHIO and can drive him if it is close, or arrange shipping. We dont really have any specialist in my area for reptiles, just mainly dogs or cats and large mamals. The box turtles a on a concerned list for the endangred specics. But to be honest this is the first one I have seen in about 4 yrs. Its really sad to look at and I not sure what options I have, But any help would be greatly appricieated.
