Hello all!

I bought 2 female mollies, ones a dalmation molly, and one is a silver molly, I have a male that is about 2 yrs old at least, he was born in my tank and is that last surviving of his siblings, I plan to breed these 3 guys and sell them at my LFS, :good:
I can't really take any pics right now, as my tank currently 1 1/2 weeks set-up and unfortunately, it has a bacteria growth, so the water is cloudy, I obviously can't take a good pic right now, anyways, I've been doing a 50% water change once a day so help clear things up, (hopefully it'll work!)
The one female (dalmation molly) is pregnant already, I suspect she was pregnant when I bought her, she doesn't look to far along yet, maybe 7-10 days if that, so I got quite a few weeks still (up to 6 weeks right?) so about 30-40 days all together, anyways, the other female, the silver one, might be pregnant too, but she's barely noticeable, her stomach getting bigger I mean, so the dalmation molly is definitely farther along, (only by 1-2 weeks)
The Dalmation Molly is named Alyson
The Silver Molly is named Melanie
The Male Molly is Darren
How original eh?
Anyways, let me know what you guys think! I'll get some pics as soon as this water clears up ^^

I look forward to seeing your fish. The gestation for mollies is about 4 weeks but the time between drops can be longer. The next batch of fry seldom start right away.

Thanks OldMan! The dalmation molly looks a bit bigger each day, so I definitely know she's pregnant!
Is it the same with platys? (about the batch of fry seldomly starting right away?)
I have the other thread with my platy, she's never been pregnant before, but I have a male in there with her, I always think she gets pregnant 'cause she gets a bit fat, but then she either stays like that or gets skinny again, so she's never actually had babies,.... Do some fish just not like having babies?

here's some pics I just took of the 'lil guys ^^

There's the pics, sorry their not very good, I still have a bacteria growth in the tank, so the water looks a bit milky
But you can kinda tell what they look like :)
Got a few more weeks to go, but I'll keep ya posted!

The drop date is not anywhere soon. Right now it looks like they are eating well or may be carrying fry, but it is hard to tell.

the dalmatian molly looks a lot fatter today, (before feeding) so I'm pretty sure she's pregnant, like you said, not far along really, but I'm pretty sure she is pregnant, she keeps getting larger everyday
(the pics were taken before they ate) so that's their actual stomach size) hehe :good:

here's some better pics I took of em today, right before feeding :good:
hopefully you can tell a bit more ^_^

Cheers!

The dalmatian is not at all far along. She may have a week of those 4 weeks behind her. In my estimation, the silver colored one is at about the same stage where it is hard to tell, but she may only be 3 weeks away from a drop.

Sweet! Thanks :)
I'll keep everyone updated if you guys want ^^
