Looks like a yepezi or obiginyi to me cant see that clearly. What tank do you have this in?

Edit * could even be retic need clearer pics.

its a jewel 240 litre. Getting a friend to make a 400 litre i am hoping soon. yeh sry about the pics just cant get a clear pic of him without disturbing him too much. Dont want him stressed in a new home:/ sry best i can do but thnx for your thoughts guy's ;) :)

240 and 400 ltr tanks are far to small. You are gonna need a minimum 6x30x24 for that fish plus you need a bit more than a juwel internal filter. Sorry mate but rays are rare enough and delicate enough as it is with out people putting them in homes that are just not suitable I suggest that you just rehome the fish straight away. And before the people on here jump on the you dont know the op1s plans for the future its doesnt matter I suggest you rehome it get a suitable tank then buy a ray when you have abit of knowledge about them.

well m8 dont jump on my back when sites who sell the fish recommend a min size tanks of 200 litre. dont like the tone and dont care for it. i wont post if i get attitude from others. no point to the forum.

well last post on here bb.

Crack on then its not my fault you dont like what has been said. Site that sell fish say anything all you had to do was make a post or have a look at minimum tank sizes for stingrays before you bought one. You dont even know what species you have some get to be a 30" disk.

m8 got a bad attitude towards others you got a real social problem there and good luck with it.

Nope not got a social problem. Just dont like to see very rare fish end up in an bad enviroment all because someone didnt do there research. Its not like a £2 guppy is it its an expensive stingray.

I'm with Mark on this. Why would you go out buy a fairly expensive fish thats possible 1 of the hardest available species to keep without doing proper research on it first.

Your ray will grow to AT LEAST a 15" disc and as Mark says anything up to 30" in some species.

A 6x2x2 is considered the very bare minimum for the smaller species of ray.

Mate, people are trying to help!
CFC mentioned in a topic the other day that people only listen to stuff they want to hear....this kinda demonstrates that dont it...
If you want the long term health and success for your ray, you should do the best as you can!

Edit: and I agree that a 6' is considered the bare minimum

Mark, you are so mean. :(

Can't you see that the OP doesn't care about how to keep the fish, he just wanted to know the ID. This forum is going downhill with people who have experience of a fish offering the bare minimum requirements on a fish to people who simply don't want to listen to the advice of experienced keepers. ;)

On a more genuine note, I like the way T1 often gives advice on preparing for adult rays: head out to the car and consider a whole wheel (often with the tyre attached) and consider what sort of tank would be required for that to swim around in with a tail.

400 litres is just nowhere near large enough
