I have a large ( 105 liters ) biorb and was wondering what bottom dwellers I could put in it. Now to save you the touble of asking, the bottom is completely covered with large pebbles so they wont scratch themselves up. These are the criteria:
- small ( <10cm )
- good looking
- non schooling ( preferably )
- wont eat neon tetras.

I think you'll find a lot of smaller bottom dwellers would prefer sand or small gravel rather than large pebbles I'm afraid.

Oh, ok. I'll continue searching for standout stop dwellers then. Any suggestions there?
Here is what I'm tossing up between-
Mollies
Swordtails
Honey gouramis

Any thing I should add/remove from my little list?

Mollies prefer brackish water so as lovely as they are, either just have those and make it a brackish water aquarium, or drop from your little list.
Would love to see a picture of your Bio-Orb if you have one?

The problem that you have with the Biorb is that although it may hold 105 litres, it has the oxygenation capacity of a far smaller tank, as the water surface area is so much smaller than a standard cuboidal tank.

In other words, it won't support 105-litres-worth of fish.

I agree its also not very long for a 105litre tank - I certainly wouldn't recommend Mollyies as they should really have a 3 foot tank.

Out of the centre piece fish mentioned I'd go for honey gourami.

As for bottom dwellers I can't think of any suitable at the moment

Shrimp make fantastic bottom dwellers for biorbs! Keep everything nice and clean and they reproduce nicely lol. Cherry shrimp or any of the many colour variants :) Love the bright orange ones personally! (just remember that mixing colours will mean you end up with boring grey babies when they start reverting back to natural colours...). You could have loads in there!!

Personally I would avoid the swordtails, they can be really boisterous and need that length to race about in.

Mollies... dalmation, marble and silver mollies should be fine, it only tends to be the black mollies that really require the salt and can be temperamental health wise...

Or rather than mollies and swordtails, you could go with Platies, seems a nice compromise!

New list:
Honey gouramis

Very hard to find in my area. Might have to order online.
@rca I do have pics but they can't be uploaded onto here from my iPod.
Here's a link to the pic though:

Oh, while I'm asking about fish, I'll get plants out of the way too. Any plants that need little to no light as the biorb light really isn't that great. Plants like anubias and amzon swords have worked well in my tank, others have crumbled before my eyes. Lol
