in my planned aquarium i'm hoping to include a bristlenose pleco and several corys. i'm now looking at plants...

will these guys get upset if the substrate gets covered in java moss? is it practical to keep part of the substrate moss-free or does the moss quickly get out of control?

cheers

Those fish don't care one way or another. I think cory's like ground cover myself. At least I know mine do. Pleco won't even notice plants are there unless there's algae on them. I'd say go for it.

I've got a piece of bogwood with java fern on it, put some bloodworm in today and it all got caught - the cories and other fish I have in there had a fantastic time chasing the bloodworm, all I could say was the Java Fern rustling :p

cool. i'll go for that then. i have visions/delusions of simply putting some java moss in and my aquarium will instantly look just like one of those takashi amano chap's ones. easy peasy :S

Lithril, I would like to get some Java Fern to attach to my drift wood that is in my tank. How do you initially attach it to the wood?

Thanks
