Bonding Problem

this is my first time with cichlids, so i dnt really know how they are ment to behave...but the pair i have are chasing one another. Is this normal, they dnt do any damage but maybe its judt a bit of chase??

Not really an emergency. In many Cichlids this is very normal. What kind do you have, what size tank, is this a male/famale pair?

yeh probably not an emergency lol, its a 35 gal, i assume they area male and female as one is slimmer than the other. and i did ask for a male and female.

What species? What size fish?

Sciaenochromis fryeri, aka ahli, and they are about 2-3" long. One slighty more bigger and its him that does most of the chasing.

I am not familiar with this species. I would keep an eye on them. If one seems to be taking on damage separate them. Hopefully somone with more knowledge of this species can help you out more.
