this is my first time with cichlids, so i dnt really know how they are ment to behave...but the pair i have are chasing one another. Is this normal, they dnt do any damage but maybe its judt a bit of chase??????????

I would ask a mod to move this for you to the cichlids section, good luck.

Not really an emergency. In many Cichlids this is very normal. What kind do you have, what size tank, is this a male/famale pair?

yeh probably not an emergency lol, its a 35 gal, i assume they area male and female as one is slimmer than the other. and i did ask for a male and female.

What species? What size fish?

Sciaenochromis fryeri, aka ahli, and they are about 2-3" long. One slighty more bigger and its him that does most of the chasing.

I am not familiar with this species. I would keep an eye on them. If one seems to be taking on damage separate them. Hopefully somone with more knowledge of this species can help you out more.
