My Bombina orientalis has these little white grains stuck to the side of his head. If this were on a fish, it would be ich. But the grains are a little bigger, and of course firebelly toads are mostly terrestrial. He's eating well and as active as ever.

Well, whatever it is, it seems to be gone now. I guess he just had some debris stuck to the side of his head. I like those easy problems.

Good deal Whist, I got three Fire Belly’s for appx. 8 years now, never saw any issues like you showed… And yes, looked like some sort of junk stuck to them. Glad you figured it out!.. Mine have been nothing but a pleasure along with my fish and Lab, sucking up Crickets every couple days. Bad picture, but here is two….
