just out of curiosity, how long can they last ut of water like that and does it do them any harm at all ?

they can last a while out a water i took thiss ship reck ornament out of my tank once and a couple of hours later i realised i had plec missin put 2 an 2 together found him in the rim of the ship took him out put im back in the tank and he swam of

great pics!! ad yea, someone had there Bn plec sticking on the glass while a w/c was hppening. the water ad gone down past the bn as it was still stuck to the glass. amazing how long they can stay out of water...

there panaques, they reach around 10" an grow slowly, an be fairly expensive. around 50 for the size of bltys id say, but everywhere differs.

Thought this might be of interest regarding how long Plecs can stay out of water for....
The Snow King Plec Liposarcus anisitsi can be found in caves in the dry season above water.

i know they can hold out of water for some time, but the only reasion i had these out of the water is coz they was in with my breeding Jag so......... had to come out of "THERE" tank, and id rather catch them by hand that net as they get them selfs tangeld up

but some of them have gone now
