ok i think i have a piar i no i have a male but the other i cant tell it has a little bit ok extentions on its dorsal fin but it has like 90% not exagerating less colour. what is going on they dont fight unless i put food in the tank and then they have like what i call a kiss off is this normal for a male and female or just to males?!

it's hard to tell, but the way the dorsal fin seems to extend at the end, i'd guess male. try a couple more pics at a few different angles for us to see better
 
I would have guessed female for the lack of colour, and the lack of a black top fin. Im not gopnna argue though, seen as though i just got my first Bolivian Ram today! :p
 
i would say female too :nod:.

The tips of (what I think is..) my male's tail flow out further than the rest of the tail (if you know what i mean!! :X ), whereas my female's tail is just straight.

The picture you have posted shows the end of tail as being straight all the way down, which makes me think it is a female.

Will try and post some pics tonight to explain.

ya it doesnt have extentions on its dorsal fin but it does have a little on the top part of its claudel fin no t on the bottom though is this normal?
