I haven't been sure whether I have a male or a female let alone a pair, but yesterday the 'male' started digging behind a rock like it was preparing for the 'female'. However when it swam over to the 'female', it was sort of chasing it away, and they were sometimes lip locking.

Is this normal? Are they about to spawn or is something else going on?

This all seemed to come to nothing. They are just back to normal now. Seems odd :S
