Hi Folks

Quick question for you guys n girls..so my tanks is running along fine now after my fishless cycle all mt fish are happy so i decided to add some Bolivan Rams :good:

Pitched for 3F & 1m.... is this what i got ???? got them from the local Pets are ***** cause not many LFS to choose from up this way and the guy didnt seem to have much of an idea but i believe ther quite hard to sex when young

My rams have settled in well with 2 at one end of the tank and one at the other and one just working between either end, there has been a couple of stand offs in the middle ground where 3 were involved with a bit of head butting and the like going but nothing to bad.

Oh and can anyone help a good fish to your door dealer ?

Thanks

Ian

They tend to like higher temperatures, 26 celcius would probably be fine for them and they prefer a slightly acidic ph.

Generally thought of as harder to look after than Bolivians due to them being more sensitive to water parameters. Bolivians tend to be more forgiving.

Cheers minnnt :good:

Temps at 26 anyway and PH bout 7 but will keep eye on it. They been in for 3 days now and seem to be fine so far.

Got to admit they are very entertaining to watch when they square up in the middle of the tank :shifty:

lol... They look great from the pics. They're probably farm bred anyway so your ph should be fine :good:

Are the numbers fine 3f 1m Or should I have just the one pair ?

Going to be paying pets are **** a visit anyway to tell them there selling GBR and not bolivians any way and could return 2 of them

Ian

I believe they would be better in a pair, but i am not a hundred percent sure. I don't think they're a hareem species? Have a quick google mate and check before you take em back. Do you get 7 or 14 days to return them? Maybe wait and see if the male pairs with one and remove the other 2?
