Bolivian Rams

These two girls are doing really well (at least i think they are female!), one was making a nest this evening a small pit in the sand about twice the size of her body , every time a cory came close she saw them off!, nothing aggressive no nipping just gently nudging them away with her head. After this was done, the other Ram joined and they started zooming around the tank together, chasing and playing, never seen this behaviour before.

so if they are both females my best bet is to get a male and see who pairs off? or get two males and hope both pair off or could that create lots of aggression?

Out of curiousity, as I've been looking to get a pair of these myself, what is the pH of your water? (My pH is fairly high, just looking to see if you're keeping them successfully in a higher pH)

My Ph is quite high, just below 8. My 4 Bolivian rams are fine.

Ph range is not nearly as important as acustoming them to the your ph id diff from the store

Bolivian rams are much hardier and not as senstive as the blue ram either; lovely fish

my pH is just over 8. I was told that I couldn't keep them in higher pH. But so far, the only fish I've been unable to keep are Angelfish. Anyway, thanks for the info, and I'm super jealous of your rams .
