hi all,

i have a pair of bolivan rams which were meant to be male and female but seam to be both males.

i call them mr left and mr right as its fair to say that they are not mates but they get on ok if they keep to there own sides of the tank.

i have room to up the numbers but could do with some advice on numbers/sex to make mr left and right happy

Bolivan rams are peaceful fish (this doesn't mean however that they are peaceful with themselves), so I suggest mixing them with other peaceful fish. There are a wide variety of peaceful to choose from - small to big (your choice). Make sure the other fish you get are peaceful otherwise they could stress your rams out.

Hope this helped,

was thinking of adding more bolivans to tank but unsure of best ratio of male to females is best

Hmmm.... I think have 2 females to every male or 2 males to every female. The more of the same species you have, then the agressiveness is more distruputeted amongest the group meaning there will not as much fighting. Let me know what you think m00ms.

Again I hoped this helped, regards,
