Hi have recently set up a tropical tank, with 5 black phantoms and 5 red fin tetras, which was going really well. I regularly check ammonia levels etc, and do water changes. But my girlfriend bought me some bogwood to go in the tank which i didn't realise needed to be soaked and boiled before going in. So i just cleaned it and put it straight in the tank, now a day later my ammonia levels have risen and all my black phantoms are dead, is this due to the bogwood? and what can i do to rectify the situation? I have a 150 litre tank and performed a 25% water change yesterday.
