Bogwood

Does anyone have bogwood in their tank ? ?. I have kept fish for over 4 years now and everytime I go to add a piece of bogwood to the tank the same thing happens. I soak it for a good 2 weeks to get all the colour out of it, put it in the tank and then within a week its covered with hairy algae even thought there is none present. anywhere else in the tank. Can someone please help ?

i think bristle nose plecs love wood so im sure one of those would help you out!!

Ive never had that problem and I have added several different peaces to several different tanks.

Where are you getting the bog wood from?

I currently have a 4 inch plec who does a good job of cleaning. I get the bogwood from the local fish store. Fingers crossed that it's ok this time. Cheers
