Just wondering what's the dealio with soaking a whopping piece of bogwood in the bath?

It won't fit anywhere else, and it needs soaking.

This sucker leeches tannins like an old mans bottom after a curry. Plus, it a floater, which is unbelievable.

Just kinda worried cos there's been all sorts in that bath at one time of another. Soap being the obvious thing.

Other than the bath, it's weigh it down in the tank and have tea coloured water (which I'm sure my fish will love, but I'd rather not).

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Provided you give the bath a good scrub with some clean water (and make sure no bleach is/was/may be used soon etc. then it should be fine really, enamel is pretty tough absorbance-wise.

However, you might want to put something under the big lump so that when it sinks it doesn't damage the bath?

While its in there, i would give it a couple of good scrubs with a wire brush too :) - no moisturiser needed ;p
