Hi folks
Recently bought a piece of wood for one of my tanks from a local LFS.I soaked it for 48 hrs and put into tank about a week ago,it has now developed a translucent growth, almost like a frog spawny kind of thing.
There are no fish in the tank at the moment as it is cycleing.
Any ideas what it is and what to do?
Regards
Sean

Just my 2 cents, but maybe some sort of algae bloom ?

Hi there, its fungus :)

Nothing to worry about really, it will disperse eventually (you can use a turkey baster to remove it), in my tanks malaysian trumpet snails usually scoff it if hungry!
