So in my 75 gal, I have 2 female albino BN pleco, and a black spotted male BN pleco, and well they made babies! lol.  Now its been about 2-3 weeks since i found the BN pleco Fry, and they are free swimming, and have a small amount of color already to them. They laid their eggs in a cave i have, and the BN pleco fry wont leave that cave (looks like mom and dad wont let them).  So my question is, the appear to be like 1mm to 2mm now, about how long until they grow big enough to come out of the cave and freely exploring the tank?

FYI also in this tank I have Angelfish fry that is beging to be free swimming and 2 Plattys that are due to give birth anytime now.  Im not a breader at all, but this tank just keeps producing fry.

Oh and after I checked on the fry this morning I seen the BN plecos are still at it and there is now a ton of eggs in the cave along with the baby fry.

That's very cool!!  Congratulations on all the fry!

I found my BN fry were exploring the tank about two weeks after they became wrigglerrs, so roughly three weeks or slightly longer after being laid. Of course this is only from my observations, and I may not have spotted them the day the spawning occurred. Once they are ready to leave the nest so to speak they will do of there own choice. They usually look like BN plec just around 10-12mm in length and very cute. Congrats
