I currently have an internal Bluewave 05 filter system running in a 120 litre aquarium.
From the date of purchase to now I have been able to remove both types of mechanical sponge (the course and fine sponges) that are found within the right handside filter media column. I have also learned how to remove the carbon remover sponge while treating the aquarium (found above the pump in the left filter media column).
However, the middle part of the unit contains 'biological filter cartridges' which will not budge. They don't seem to come out and I was wondering if any owners of this filter system have any tips for getting this part out? Presumably a lot of waste will build up here and accumulate quickly, so I'm anxious to remove this part of the filter unit so that I can give it a quick rinse.
Any tips or advice appreciated!
