i got a pair of blue rams a week ago, they are very happy and have coloured up loads since we got them. at first the didnt mind the corys but now in on section of the tank - which isnt very private but is near some flat slate - they have started to chase the corys off. they arent hurting them just moving them out the way. could they be getting ready to lay eggs? is there any other behaviour that i should look out for?

I have a pair of Bolivian Rams that have had a couple of failed breeding attempts. What i noticed the second time round was the female would spend some time cleaning an area to lay the eggs ie clearing sand off a piece of driftwood like mine did. Then the female started dropping eggs all over the log. Shortly after the male steps in and does his thang  Unfortunately mine didnt last more than a day or so. Might get a few fry eventually but if your fish were tank bread then they will probably take a few attempts to get it right
