Blue Gouramis Scared

i clean my fish tank out the other day, i left the light off till the next day. my two gouramis are scared when i go over to the fish tanks. they stay in the top back corner most of the day, can anyone give me some advice. thanks

How many do you have, what sexes, what other fish are in the tank, how large is it and how long have you had them? whew

I have 2 blue gouramis( 3.5 inch) they have been in the tank about 1.5 years, not sure what sex, in the tank are 2 black ghost knife fish( one 8 inch and the other 6inch). A yoyo loach (3.5 inch), one golden barb (2.5inch) male swordtale (1.5 without tail) in the past two days i have put 4 noen and 4 cardinal tetras and 2 electric blue cichlid. the tank is 96 litres

Get rid of those cichlids - totaly unsuitable for this set-up. They could be the source of your gouramies' problems as well.

The neons and cardinals aren't going to alst BTW. Bound to get eaten by the knife fish.
