Hi folks,

I saw these today at a LFS and would like some when my cycle is complete.

I would like to know how you know which sex they are, if it's ok to keep more than one male, and if they are ok in a community?

Thanks.

They do make quite good community fish; just don't keep them with other labyrinth fish, like bettas, or anything too boisterous; they can be quite shy around other fish, though the males can be quite aggressive to each other. They're best kept as a trio of one male to two females.
They do better with some floating plants for cover and fairly small, peaceful tankmates.

To sex them look at the dorsal fin; the rear end is pointed in males and curved in females.
