Blue Crayfish

I have an opportunity to purchase a large cold water blue crayfish who at the moment is in a small tank. I'd like to put him in with my weather loach but I don't know if he'd have a go at them. Does anybody know anything about them?

Mmmm, that's what I was afraid of. Think I'll give him a miss then.

Bear in mind that if you're in the UK the only legal crayfish to sell is usually called a blue lobester (cherax quad) and they need temps of around 16 upwards, so are technically not a cold water crayfish.

The tank I'v got runs at 18 and upwards usually but I'm not going to bother anyway, don't want him nipping at my lovely loach! Thanks for the info though
