my Blue Acara's are jaw locking my m8 said this is a ritual for breeding is this true or are they just fighting.

thye could either be courting.... look out for them shaking vigorously in front of each other... or just adolescents venting some energy/testing each other out/

mine also grab the leaves of plants and pull them with their mouths in front of each other when they are about to spawn... the shaking is the biggest giveaway though/
