I got home today to notice my blue's have produced eggs :D pretty chuffed :p
is there anything i should know about looking after the eggs/fry?

Alright I think the eggs have hatched because they turned into a pile of brown wiggly things :D
the female is taking time out from guarding them occasionally to dig holes elsewhere in the tank. the male is also digging a lot and occasionally darting at my rams, but not hurting them because they run away.
what are the chances of fry surviving if I leave them in the main tank? will I need to do lots of water changes?
I've got some small angels(2-3cm) in my QT tank that I'm going to introduce next week, should I hold off from introducing new fish?

The parents will care for the fry, so dont worry about that, you dont really need to do any more water changes providing you are already doing weekly changes, changing the routine may upset the parents and cause them to eat their young, not likely but could.

I would hold off introducing the angels as this will really annoy the parents, who will see them as a threat and could bully them. You may well find you need another tank to remove these fry too once they are larger as the parents will do doubt spawn again.

You can finely crush some flakes or some pellets very finely with a rolling pin or similar (pestel and mortar) or decap brineshrimp possibly some cyclops.

Once they become free swimming, although it will be hard to get their food directly to them, as everyone else will get it 1st. I assume the parents are keeping them fairly well hidden in a cave or similar? In which case, something like a turkey baster or syringe of somesort will be helpful to get the food directly to them.

Luky... I want some. I can't seem to find blue acaras any place. It's the one fish I really want. Any chance you live in Northern CA or Reno NV?

Haha, I live in Australia, you're quite welcome to as many as you want though :D
I think one of the parents attacked a kuhlii loach which died later today, they moved their nest over near a rock where the kuhliis live and now I only have 1 left :( poor kuhliis

Heres a pic :hyper:
I uploaded a vid to youtube but the quality went so bad that you couldn't see the fry
