Bloody Apple Snail!

I put my apple snail in my breeding tank after it munched through my amazon swords and now 2days later its ate all my floating plants I just got from a member on here, and never realised how much they poo either till he was in the bare bottom tank! Just got an other two today so looks like i'll be cleaning that tank daily. Rant over

They do poo quite a lot I've heard! Never kept any myself but soon to be grabbing a few

I have had 500+ apples in my tank at one stage....now that was hardcore water changes and poo duty

Thats some mess!!
I only had one big one but bought two younger ones yesterday and so far they have ate all my floating plants and 80% of my java moss so thats put a halt to my attempts at breeding my corries as they have nothing to spawn in now. so undecided on weather to keep them or sell them on, Just hope they don't fancy the cherry shrimp next haha

Their fine with cherrys mate. my female as as big as criket ball shes huge. Often 5-6 shrimp will clean her shell and hitch a lift lol
