Hey, today I spotted bloodworms in the shop and I'm very tempted to buy them as food. However, there isnt much information on the package and now I'm not sure if you can just give them to any fish, or if there are only certain types of fish that will eat them/will be ok eating them.

Also, would you recommend feeding the fish some of these from time to time, or does anyone have bad experience with it?

I'd just like some information on these so called bloodworms

Thanks =)

Hi Peter :p
I just gave my tropicals a bag of live bloodworm and they loved it :thumbs:

Thanks for the responses and thanks for the welcome =) I'll probably go off to town soon to buy some then. See if my fish will indeed like them as well

Most fish will readily eat live and frozen foods like Bloodworm, Brineshrimp etc.......If you are feeding them frozen are normally just drop the cube into the tank and it will de-frost itself. However, if you fish are quick and aggressive feeder de-frost it in some tank water before hand. :)

:clap: I feed my Bettas and Guppies freeze dried blood worms and they gobble them. One of my Bettas will eat nothig but bloodworms. I keep trying, but nope. I like to vary their diet. I tried live bloodworms and although the fish liked them, I found them a little messy. Since freeze dried works, that is what I use. Just remember to not overfeed. Also, some people get an alergic reaction to bloodworms. I use a tiny spoon to feed the fish with and make sure I do not inhale the worm dust. Welcome and happy fishing.
