I was feeding my tank some frozen blood worm and the trick always is to try and let to cories get some becuse the barbs are pigs. Today I decided I'd try burying some of it just below the surface in differant places across the sand. I expected them to just stick their noses under like the normally do, well I must have put some of it down depper than i have intended- they stuck half they're bodies under! The sand covered they're dorsal fins. I had no idea they could do that  but they also seemed quite excited by the whole thing so i think from now on I'll bury some of their food everytime i feed them.
Even the barbs had a shot at trying to dig it up though they couldn't get very deep ;p

so my questions are-
Do cories often get so deep into the sand? it looked like they were tunnelling XD I don't supose anybody buries the cory food on a regular basis do they? I'm wondering how easily they will find it; i don't want it left to rot or anything. Evidently they can find the bloodworm pretty easily but what about something like catfish pellets- would it make a differance?

Everyone who keeps cories on sand knows that they do go that deep when they're in the mood :)

I've often seen burying food for cories suggested, but I don't know if many people do it. As long as you don't put too much under there it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe always do it in one place, so you can easily stir the sand to find any leftovers?

thanks :D

I guess it's because I've had them for a a little while now and they've never bothered it just seemed odd. Keeping it in one place does make sence- I'll give it a shot and see what happenes- even an hour after the bloodworms they're all looking for more (normally they go to sleep) :)
