Well, bloodworms only stay at the top, and dont come down. amirite? (according to my tank, it doesnt come down.)

I feed my fish 50/50 flakes / worms everday morning and night.

Well, I have two frogs. One stays at the bottom and waits for flakes to land and stay still. The other one goes UP to the top and starts eating. Is that regular?

Heres a video I recorded today.

So yeah, my question was : Is it regular for a frog to do that?

Hi there

I have two ADFs and have to say that I've never seen either of mine spend that much time at the top of the tank swimming about or feeding - wow - you have a very good swimmer there! Usually mine just whizz up to the top for a gulp of air and straight back down again.

It could be that your frog has worked out that there is food floating around up there and that he can get a good share of it by swimming up there. The other frog probably hasn't worked that out yet!

I take it you are using freeze dried bloodworms? Have you tried frozen bloodworms? These are what I feed my ADFs and they always float immediately down to the gravel (I defrost them for a couple of mins in a little tank water in a cup), so actually my frogs don't need to swim up for food.

If you want to stick with the freeze dried version - try soaking them in a little cup of tank water and then pouring them into the tank - they should sink a bit better that way.

Cute video, by the way!
