Sorry if this is obvious and everyone does it already, but it was a bit of a breakthrough for me  I only have 2 bettas who eat bloodworm, so 1 cube is way too much. I defrosted it and spread a thin layer over the bottom of a small dish and would try and defrost just a few at a time with tank water but it was a faff and so I didn't feed them bloodworm as often as I should.
So now I've got an empty blister pack from some pills. They're the plastic coated ones so no drugs have been in contact with the package. I've defrosted a cube and used a pipette to put 6 bloodworms, 3 for each or my bettas, in each compartment. Now I just pop one out and carry it upstairs in my hand which almost defrosts it, then put it on a plate with a bit of tank water and it's ready to feed :good:

Are you thawing and re-freezing the worms though? Because this is a bad bacteria hazard, I'm the kitchen manager in my sorority and that's what the health inspectors told us. You could smash the cube while it's still frozen then put the rest back in the freezer and just take one chunk each time you feed.

It's for a few minutes, I'll take the risk :)

When our freezers broke at work we had to chuck away any unfrozen food. Dont knopw if its the same dangers for fish though
