blood parrot

I've read on multple sites that blood parrots get to be abot 6 inches long and can housed in a 25 gal. & up, is this true can i put one in a 30?

I think 6" is incorrect as mine is already at 8" and i would say they would need at least 45-50g.

VIP how long have u had ur parrot for it to grow that big??

ive had her for about 9 months or so but i brought her at 5" and also like most cichlids they slow down in growth alot as they hit the 6" mark or so
