I have had a guarami in my 45 gallon tank for about a year. He has grown nicely and has been a great fish, but this morning I noticed that he has become HUGE! He has doubled almost overnight, He appears bloated and I note an ulceration about the siz of the "O" on your computer keyboard behind a front fin. He is still swimming normally but his appearance is quite a negative for his future wellbeing. I wonder if I should get him out of the tank ASAP or give him a day to see if there will be any improvement. I have about 15 other fish in the tank that appear fine. Thanks for any suggestions.

I would take it out and put it in another tank or put it down. When fish suddenly bloat up overnight it is normally caused by an internal bacterial infection destroying an internal organ. The fish don't nomrally recover and if they get eaten by the other fish, then they can become infected too.
